om tryambakam yajãmahe sugandhim pustivardhanam
urvãrukamiva bandhanãt mrtyor mukshiya mãmrtãt
We worship the three-eyed One ( Lord Shiva) , who is fragant, and who nourishes well all beings. As the cumcumber is servered from its bondage (to the creeper) , may He liberate us from death for the sake of immortality!
Adoramos o Aquele de três olhos (Lord Shiva), que é fragrante e que nutre bem todos os seres. Enquanto o pepino é servidor da sua escravidão (para a trepadeira), Ele pode nos libertar da morte por causa da imortalidade!
